Introducing Sports Pages

Yes, 49st has stepped up its offering by introducing sports pages — an easy way to find out about sports in your city.

The sports pages include individual team schedules. For Canadian hockey fans, here are direct links to Canadian teams: Toronto Maple Leafs, Ottawa Senators, Calgary Flames, Edmonton Oilers, Vancouver Canucks, and Montreal Canadiens.

Of course, our sports pages are not limited to the Canadian teams. We already have most NHL teams (we'll have all of them soon) — e.g.: New York Islanders or St. Louis Blues. And we're not stopping there ... here are sample pages for Basketball, Lacrosse and Baseball teams.

To make it easier for sports fanatics, we're making it easy for you to get a snapshot of all sports in your city by introducing city home pages, which display sports in the city at a glance.

This will be the 8th annual T.O. Zombie Walk! Last year nearly 6000 corpses writhed, weaved and lurched their way through the streets of Toronto feasting on the brains of those unlucky enough to be living. This year it starts at Trinity Bellwoods Park and ends at Christie Pitts Park. Come out as a zombie and mingle with the macabre or just to take pics of the undead. Tonnes of fun. Trust.

Adding Events is as Easy as 1-2-3!

Every autumn it’s nice to reflect on summer and what you did. Well, we’ll always remember this one as a summer we made events and business listings submissions easier than ever before. Now when you submit your event on 49st you don’t need spend time editing content, browsing our system or reading documentation. You probably don’t event need to add it!

Why is that?

Simply visit our ‘add content’ page and start typing your listing name. If it already exists (which is likely) then just “claim” and “verify” the information.
