Introducing Sports Pages

Yes, 49st has stepped up its offering by introducing sports pages — an easy way to find out about sports in your city.

The sports pages include individual team schedules. For Canadian hockey fans, here are direct links to Canadian teams: Toronto Maple Leafs, Ottawa Senators, Calgary Flames, Edmonton Oilers, Vancouver Canucks, and Montreal Canadiens.

Of course, our sports pages are not limited to the Canadian teams. We already have most NHL teams (we'll have all of them soon) — e.g.: New York Islanders or St. Louis Blues. And we're not stopping there ... here are sample pages for Basketball, Lacrosse and Baseball teams.

To make it easier for sports fanatics, we're making it easy for you to get a snapshot of all sports in your city by introducing city home pages, which display sports in the city at a glance.

Seasonal Guides

With this 2011 New Year’s Eve Guide we have begun a new tradition...making it quick and easy for our users to get a snapshot of what's going on around town. This new service of creating 49st Guides helps not only our users, but those people who visit our partner sites (see this NYE Guide as an example).

So far, we've received great feedback from our users. The event organizers are pleased too, since our guide is receiving a lot of traffic. Feel free to suggest events to be included in out NYE Guide.

New Spotlight Feature in 49st Newsletter

We added a new spotlight feature to 49st Newsletter which highlights the premium event of upcoming week. We are proud to start with remembering the sacrifices of war time, and reminding you about the official events coming tomorrow all over the country.

If you are not yet subscribed to 49st Newsletter, you can do that from any page of 49st

Haunted home page

We wish you a Happy Halloween and wish you to find your holiday event easily.

Happy Father’s Day

We keep working on the best search experience and now glad to present new cool location search style with improved category search: we felt that searching among events and features is a bit confusing for our users so what we did is an addition to the search field with search database label so that you always mind what type of content you request.

Besides we are proud still keeping our course using CSS3 effects everywhere we can bypass using images so that your search result pages opened in less than no time.

With this family holiday we start a new tradition at 49st preparing best search ideas about holidays time passing. We analyze traditions and variety of events and places to go and give you few sharpest listings on the 49st landing page. And of course we'll try to make a holiday mood for you with some fabulous design.

Happy coming Father’s Day gentlemen.

Face Lifting

What 49st was missing before is an accent on search. So the first change we started with was a new search interface. Not simply a search box with suggestions but a tool which gives you ideas about your time passing. Now we are going to keep the landing page always in touch by giving you new search ideas, upcoming holidays related searches and most popular event right in first seconds of your web surfing.

No matter we have just released this new page, we already can't wait showing you new improvements we prepared for it.
